Kim - May 1970-January 2004

A little over five years ago, our lives were saddened with the loss of Kim. On January 20, 2004, Kim--or "Booner" to his closest friends--left us in silence. Student of life, teacher of many, and friend to all, Kim's lively spirit of only 33 years will be forever remembered.

We would like to ask anyone who has any stories, memories, or pictures of Kim to share them with us. As we move forward from day to day, we hope that those who knew Kim will find comfort in the writings and images found on this site.

You are not required to leave your name or nickname, and you are not required to register to make entries. However, it would be nice to have a name or nickname signed at the bottom of each story or thought. In order to upload a picture with your story, or if you plan on making many entries, please take the time to register here.

All stories and thoughts will be reviewed before they are shown on the site. So if you make an entry and do not see it right away, there is no need to worry and no need to re-enter your writings.

Many thanks from everyone who knew Kim, for helping to make this site a memorable place to visit.

I just stumbled upon this website last night and am dealing with the shock and grief of hearing of Kim's death just now.

I met Kim in Victoria at a pub I was working at. He was there with a group of friends and I took part in a hilarious practical joke they played on one of them. Perhaps some of those friends are here on this site and remember that night. And I may post that story one day because it's another example of the fun and mischievous Kim that I'm sure many of you knew.

Months later we met again and started a relationship which lasted for about a year. I am flooded with memories of our time together and our friendship, because that's what Kim was about, being a good friend. He was there for me during difficult times and he was also my mini-vacation from my life as a single parent.

I am deeply sad that he no longer walks on this earth because he had so much more to share of himself, so much to accomplish. But I also know that he is still with us, that I can still today talk to him, and remember his kind words, his comfort, his outlook on life, his laugh.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.
